Hi lorne: I think its harder to build a biological bomb than a chemical one. Weather plays more of a factor for the biological bomb and you would need blast-resistant spores. It would be easier to deliver the biological agent via an aerosol as some crank Japanese groups have tried to do, but with little success.

A "dirty" radiological bomb is a danger that is there now. All that has to be done is to obtain radio-isotopes used in medicine - pack them around a regular bomb - put an outer casing over the radio-isotopes and then detonate the bomb. Some of the more nasty radio-isotopes have long half-lives and the clean up costs would be incredible.

Israel is such an easy target for the Arab states. I think there are only 15 million Jews worldwide with ~6.5 million in Israel. Look what they have done since 1948 - and then compare that to what their surrounding 200 million Arab neighbours have done - given the oil wealth that they have at their disposal. The Arab world should be just as prosperous as the Israeli's - yet they are stuck in the Middle Ages, none are democracies, feudal and despotic systems prevail, their legal system denies most Arabs the right to own land and hence they are denied from building equity, and they either don't have the intelligence or will to build better lives for their citizens.

If I was an Arab - I wouldn't be looking to Israel for the cause of my problems, lack of wealth and minimal opportunities. I would be looking at the existing feudal and despotic systems that prevail within the Arab states, and to the Muslim clerics who love power and control, and who have no real desire to improve the lot in life of their followers. Those who have the power in the Arab states - deflect internal dissent away from criticism of the existing system - to blaming Israel for all of their woes. So far they seem to have gotten away with it.

All Muslims are going to be regarded with suspicion for centuries and they will be marginalized and become isolated within western societies. I can foresee many sociological problems ahead as unemployment will be high within that group and opportunities will be limited.

David.

IMO the biological threat is the more scary one it can be delievered by some innocent looking little islam guy to a city of millions of people and the islam terrorists have proven to the world that they have no problem with killing innocent people.

lorne, I already revealed what Saddam's secret plan is.

Saddam wants a nuke as "insurance" against the world liberating any more of his conquests, like we did in Kuwait.
