Yep, I treat "money theory" along similar lines because I never studied economics. I'm a process engineer by trade. To me money is like gas molecules wandering around a reaction chamber, or in the case of modern fiat money, a particle (dollar) antiparticle (debt) creation. Dangerous stuff. -g- I think it's best if we just pay someone to dig gold and other metals out the ground and pay them for their services. We all know whats what then.

I going see if I can get that paper by Keynes on why he thinks a gold standard can trigger lower employment. It seems like it would cause more work to me. Just imagine if the bankers had to dig the gold out the ground before making out new loans <ggg>
