I am afraid that the page, Oskar, was the best women's voice in the piece.

Maybe Aida will come off better. The Czechs can get worked up over the idea of being an oppressed race.

My favorite Czech political comment--it wasn't Havel--who was it? Anyway, when "we can be a bridge between East and West" was argued, he said, "The trouble with a bridge is the cows stop in the middle and shit on it."

Hi KT & T; For opera, try Mozart's La Clemenza de Tito; it has some great choruses, duets and solos.
One of the highlights of the summer for me was a ballet set to the spectacular choral music of Orff's Carmina Burana by a company out of Albany, NY.
