WR, Ahh, the memories . . . I used to love/hate Walsh talking up each week's opponent as the second coming of the '67 Packers. One of my favorite Niner stories was during the final drive in the 1988-89 Super Bowl against Cincy, inside the last two minutes, season on the line, Montana turned to Harris Barton, pointed to the stands, and asked Barton "isn't that John Candy sitting over there?" Barton said he didn't know if he was more amazed that Montana asked such a question at a time like that or the fact that he was right -- it WAS John Candy. Talk about keeping cool under pressure. jpg
