Gephardt believes the economy is in poor shape, and was being wishful about timing. I am not familiar with what Kerry said. The last I heard, Daschle was waiting for the Administration to make a clear case that the danger of inaction outweighed the risks of intervention, which is not, in itself, treasonous.......

Good points...

Too many take this war and its outcome too lightly. We are facing the gravest threat to our nation since WWII. We let the left call the agenda in Vietnam and an unmitigated human tragedy of huge proportions followed our abandonment of the ARVN.....
