I am sure that not all Republicans are evil - in fact, I am sure that most Republicans are not evil. But I have been unsure about whether the Republican leadership is evil ever since they tried to unilaterally change the name of the Democratic Party to the "Democrat Party." Little things matter, and I see that action as symptomatic of the campaign to destroy civility, eliminate political power among moderates, and polarize the American political scene into extremes of rhetoric. Those who participate in such tactics give the appearance of placing the welfare of their party above the welfare of the nation. I call it "party Chauvinism." (And it's just as bad when Democrats do it, BTW.)
