It would be very interesting if both the head and the right shoulder were small intraday H&S patterns themselves. Would add credence to the pattern, I think.

Perhaps no terrorist attack is already factored in - from what I've read, the U.S. has picked up no further warning signs other than the same increase in communications they saw before July 4.

I see one on the COMP 1-minute chart, but I deny it exists, as it does not show up on the 15-minute. <G>

That said, I think it will be toast anyway. The afternoon looks like a close on the high SPX 916 kind of day, with the SPX riding the rising support on the way up (60-min):

Bcrafty.. I see the 15min H&S you're talking about. I was referring to the larger one on the dailies. The smaller time frame is more likely to follow thru I think since it is an opportunity to suck the shorts in.

Since it is the day before 9/11, shorts and bulls are cautious.
