Brian; I agree, one cannot assume any particular extreme is THE extreme. As an investor and not a trader, Value is perceived and deduced based on the individual companies outlook despite the market backdrop. For me, the Values look good in here, and the Market backdrop is what it is.

Right now one needs only look closely at the Defense sector, to see the price suppression is the order of the day.The Obfuscation of Value is the prevailing trend of Mr Market.

Short interest inter month is running well ahead of the data reported at the cut off date. This market right now, is about grinding out competition for shares. Mr Market is busy as usual pumping out the FUD, and work at the wall of worry has been running 24/7.These shares being worked free from their owners, are exposes of how the market really works.

Mr Market has chosen his course, fixed his compass; we investors can do little if anything to effect the direction or timing of any of it. We do however have a unique opportunity to use this backdrop as a foundation for achieving extraordinary gains, by identifying the migration of capital and acquiring for ourselves pieces of scarcity, and staying with it, while it follows it's trajectory toward the completion of it's own business cycle.

Traders will see the market differently than investors so any reaction traders take to the current trend is theirs, not mine to comment on.
