<<It's looking more and more to me that the economy is slowing down. Gotta love those people going into debt driving this economy! >>

Home foreclosures at record levels and consumer debt growing faster than expected.

Problem is you can't put your money in bonds, because even if the economy slows down further, rates will have to rise eventually. Then if the economy slows, you also can't put your money in stocks, because they are liable to suffer worse. So where do you put your money? And don't tell me money market, because that's not the right answer.

Hi Eric,

yup... watch and wait. I've been away from the market. Just getting back. My son and I took a 10,000 mile summer road trip while my wife worked and enjoyed the absence of "the guys". Reminded me that there's lots more to life than wondering whether Cisco will be higher or lower than $16.42 by the end of the year.

Thank goodness for credit cards. My statement for the month of August is going to have to come in a binder!
