If goodwill and education is used, I'd say in about a generation, the troubles in the Middle East can be overcome (about 30 yrs). I wish is was that simple. Goodwill and education won't get you by the Koran, when it is taught by Fundamentalists. They will eventually Westernize, which is the end result Pearly is talking about, but it going to take a "loooong" time. The Koran tells the Islamists that they should be ascendant. But they find themselves at the bottom of the Civilized world. They can't handle this contradiction. So they lash out, against all reason, to destroy us.
