Watch it, Lindy, you could take us into the silly deconstructionist argument if you're not careful.

The hierarchy of truth, as envisoned by moi:

1.- Absolute truth, i.e., black is black because it looks like black and white is white because it looks like white.

2.- Deconstructed truth, i.e., since all truths are relative, black is whatever you want it to be, as is white.

3.- Multi-culti truth, i.e., don't be so damned Western European about it, black means different things to different folks as does white. In fact, did you know that the Eskimos have 217 different words for white snow? Why do you think your version of white is correct?

4.- A lie, i,e., lawyer asks client, "What color do you want it to be?"

Note the parallels between No. 2 and No. 4.

Hey, I really miss not having John around to tell us that multiculturalism is not what Will says it is, and that we ought to read Rorty. :^)

That's good. I'm back. Read Rorty, however, on post modernism, not on multiculturalism. And don't, repeat, don't read George Will on multiculturalism or, for that matter, just about anything else.
