As long as the world population grows, so must the money supply. The US dollar is the main currency and America is the most "efficient" country. In Europe interest rates are still too high. Wim is afraid of inflation so he leaves the rates alone. For now at least.

Look friend the American Govt has been fibbing to Americans for 200years. The fact that the Govt is broke or not is also irrelevent. The one who sounds brainwashed is you with your militia speak. I forgot more about History, politics and government then you will ever know. Frankly that post ranks up with the most illogical piece of gibberish Ive read in quite a bit. My friends died in the WTC, was that contrieved by the USA? Are the 5 year olds killed at school in Jerusalem a fabrication as well? Or maybee the USA is secretly covertly running the suicide bombing programs so they can justify a military action? There are bad people in the world, some are in our Govt some are in other Govt's. Doesnt change the fact that Sadam must go.

>>Americans are being told there are terrorists everywhere and there are external dangers in the Middle East which can all only be taken care of by a war.

I dont know about everywhere but I have been to many muslim countries and everyone of them, with the exception of Turkey, has an overwhelming fanatical group ready to wage war on us.

Iraq is already occupied from the air, and partitioned on the ground militarily. This can't go on indefinitely. Iraq has oil resources that make it a better candidate than Afghanistan for funding reconstruction and policing.

Rarebird, your points seem very valid and make sense. The real success in business as in war is to tackle the unthinkable.

US got it's PC dominance in the world because two guys in a garage started APPLE and the founders of CPQ wrote their idea on a restaurant napkin, and HWP started with stable audio oscillator from used in a radio and the list goes on.

Is the Iraq campaign risky ? sure it is but so is life and only a defeated Iraq will revive the world economies as oil will drop to the mid teens and huge development project will start in the ME.

Difficult and risky Afghanistan is an example, Kosovo succeeded partialy
