technically, more than 2/3'rds of the internet is run by various versions of Unix, and that number is growing by 1% a month, since the code red worm came out last year, and websites with windows threw up their hands and said, why are we paying more for an OS that is so full of holes, and doesn't run websites any better than Unix???

This fella makes the standard mistake of equating an intel CPU with running on an off-the-shelf PC. Those are separate issues. It is perfectly possible for Apple to manufacture proprietary Intel-based boxes using, for example, proprietary ROM.
