Stox,
I am a bleeding heart, but much more eclectic than the liberal or conservative labels would make me.
On economics i find the conservative view more effective in achieving my dual goals of abundance and ultimately a socialist society where folks really do work for the common good. But you need abundance first or else freedom is lost in class warfare.
I am against what the welfare state leads to--namely dependence on the state. I am for civil rights, civil liberties and affirmative action(without quotas). However when it comes to war I have much less patience for the enemy that would do me in than BWAC does. But I live in New York and i know what terror is--used to think i knew but i didnt.
And finally if you make a public post expect to be replied to publicly. Mike
