Absolutely brilliant weren't they?

Ruthlessly funny -g-.

We laugh when the real issues on life are parodied. I think Monty Python deliberately planned this, and are consistent. The material is presented in a first class manner too.

So that terrorism (The Spanish Inquisition sketch) and problems with democracy in the real world (Brian arguing with Arthur) make the material more funny as time goes on.

Terrorists never seem to think an issue through...
Our two weapons are fear and surprise...and ruthless efficiency....

It's rare to see a joke improve with time.

Just looked at your profile. I have nearly finished working on my garden...or "back yard" as you call it in the USA. Built a patio that is completely flat in a garden that has a strong incline to it. There is over a metric ton of sand just in the brick mortar. Seven tons of sand under the pavers. Rather pleased with the results. Such a lot of hard physical work though. Can't imagine doing it for a living. -g-
