Noelle is in hot water. She faces the possibility of being charged with possession of cocaine, which is a felony. Hopefully, she can overcome her problem and become a useful member of society. I have a daughter the same age as Noelle. I would be heartbroken if my daughter had experienced similar chemical dependency problems. This is not a conservative vs. liberal problem ... it is a mostly medical problem that potentially affects every American regardless of race, politics, economic status, you name it. For several years my wife worked at a teen drug clinic run out of a Catholic hospital. The clinic did much good in turning around young lives ... until the for-profit insurance companies, in effect, forced it to close its doors.
