Thanks for posting the review link. I had read the review about a month ago and it seemed fairly positive. The macro part really matters a lot to me. My little Kodak still does most of what I need and does it extremely well (outdoor photos suitable to go on the web). I've even had prints made of some photos such as dragonflies, etc.. and they looked very nice.. not super high rez, but enough that the people who need them are happy. Problem with the Kodak is being unable to photograph insects and other creatures from 1 - 3 inches away...or such things like mushroom spore patterns, lichens, etc... I've seen what some of the people on PhotoSig have done and that looks just about in line with what I need. If I felt I could justify spending more, then I'd probably go for the Nikon 5700, but I don't think it would be worth it for my kind of use. Hopefully, I'll be as happy with the 4500 as I've been with the little Kodak. If it gives me anywhere near the same kind of use, then I'll be very satisfied.
