OK - they're forgiven - now where are those launch codes? The only thing the Muslim extremists understand and respect is force - Gadafi understands it - and soon Saddam et al. will understand it, though he will no longer be here. The UN will keep turning the other check for another 100 years - and for any draft resolution that calls for the use of force - then either Russia or China will use their veto in the Security Council, or the third world will use their block vote in a full vote against any western led resolution to remove Saddam.

If Putin wants to try and throw a spanner in the works by offering $40 billion in "aid" to Iran - then fine - he's just sore about the NATO expansion into eastern Europe and the scrapping of the missile treaty. If he continues to sponsor Iran and North Korea, then my strategy would be to to invite the Baltic states, Ukraine and the former Soviet "-stan" republics to also join NATO.

As for China - why is so much stuff now made there? I'm sick and tired of being forced to buy Chinese made goods because that's where a lot of western countries now have their manufacturing plants. We don't need China for anything. I'd cancel their most favoured trading nation status - "suggest" that they renounce any and all claims on Taiwan - and base a carrier group in Taipei.

It's right for the President to make his case to the UN tomorrow. It's time to draw a line in the sand - and I think the President will do that tomorrow. But if the UN refuses to act - then the President and his allies will have to act alone - and to hell with the UN.
