I didn't follow all that very well. But if you say you were not remotely implying that there was any doubt about who perpetrated the terrorist acts of 9/11, I accept it.

The "plenty of folks out there" who would do as you describe is, I take it, a very general observation in the same class with "the world is sure a wild and crazy place." It doesn't seem to have much relevance to American politics, as you explain it. It's just a generalization about how many nuts there are on the planet.

And who could disagree with that?
