Gottfried, yes, that's my conclusion. The important item there was inflow of $30B one week, outflow of same prev week, etc.... That means small jitters within flat trend.
Which is what the market indices have been showing also. And it also is compatible with the stable dollar of late. It also means savings are stable. So people are not robbing their savings to spend on houses and cars. Unlike what the double dip crowd tells us.

In other words, we'll keep scraping along the bottom here until some big event happens. I'm hoping it will be a gradual increase in employment that will bring back those feel-good days of old.

A big trucking company (Consolidated Freightways) shut down last week, losing 15,000 jobs. That will be reflected in the new claims for the first time today. If they are absorbed easily without showing a jump above 400,000, then we're in great shape. Elsewise, in the words of Softechie we're faaaaaaaached!
