07:43 ET Lehman cuts 2003 Semi Equip rev growth forecast : Lehman reduces its 2003 forecast for revenue growth in the Semiconductor Equipment industry to 10-15% from previous range of 27%.

08:03 ET Details of Lehman Semi Equipment call : As reported at 07:43, Lehman is reducing its growth forecast for 2003 Semiconductor Equipment revenues. Firm cuts forecast to approx. 10% from roughly 27% after recent data points suggest that equipment fundamentals have eroded faster and further than most companies previously anticipated. Lehman believes Q3 orders could fall below guidance and that timing of the recovery remains elusive. Sees chip makers likely setting conservative capital budgets for 2003.

For AMAT, 2003 est goes to $0.32 from $0.39 and firm expresses view that orders will fall 16% sequentially in Oct to the low end of mgmt's recent guidance; ENTG 2003 est cut to $0.35 from $0.50; FSII 2003 est goes to ($0.68) from ($0.43).
