<<wonder what the REAL game is >>

the real game is that we are going to war w/ Iraq, which will hugely increase our already large budget deficits.

therefore, we have this version of history by the revisionist Greenspan....

(i) i didn't cause the bubble, nor did i cause it to deflate
(ii) i managed the economy remarkably well through the bubble burst and 9/11. in fact, the economy was on a solid recovery path on the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks
(iii) the economy crashed and burned in late '02 due to the huge budget deficits which resulted from our profligate politicians and the war w/ Iraq. i of course didn't cause any of this either; in fact i was against further fiscal stimulus and the war.

(iv) therefore, i remain the greatest central banker of all time.

Cheers

I've run across a lot of people that lie and then forget the lies they told, you don't even have to be pushing 80 to have this problem. It works out because many others to who the lies are told can't remember either or else are never really sure of anything so it doesn't really matter they were lied to, especially concerning matters they don't really understand.
