I heard same news about high shorts in airline stocks I remember that as well. Of course nothing came of it. The goverment and analysts reviewed everything and it turns out there were no more short positions in the market than normal. Just another case of the media going crazy. They probably saw high shorts in the airlines and thought it must be terrorists when it was just investors betting on a general decline in the industry. As everyone has noticed, the market tanked worse than 911 just recently and it was just because of the general state of the economy. I personally would not want to short a tragedy. I know it doesn't hurt the victims of 911 but it still seems tacky to me. I think shorting stock scams is a good thing to do at any time. The sooner they die, the fewer investors get ripped off. Some scams just continue for years if no one outs them, like enron.

Ed, there where plenty of stories about airline stocks being shorted before 911. Maybe you missed them. As for Elgindy gathering information on terrorists and giving it to the SEC and FBI. He did. I know this to be a fact. I also know that one SEC staff attorney personally hand delivered information to the FBI on a terrorist connection because he himself thought it was very important. There was much that Elgindy gave authorities about terrorists. I know because alot of the information came from me. Anthony asked me to forward any information I had on the subject. I also know he did what ever he could to help our country combat these terrorist criminals.
