NG explosion to wait till it gets cold

Inventories by my reckoning are high and will be full at the end of the shoulder season. The build reported today of +74 suggests to me industrial demand is not great. IF there is a cold winter the decline in drilling will couple up with declining production to provide some fireworks, yes. But if Mother Nature is kind, again....

The DXE (energy stock index with some weight in the E&Ps)i is well on its way to fulfilling its weak seasonal pattern into late November. We'd need to see something over 365 to begin to turn this pattern around.

While I'll agree the potential is there for a big move in NG with an associated rise in related issues I favor (POG XTO ECA, for example), I think it's a bit down the road and requires industrial demand improvement to be realized. While waiting I hold and today added to Canadian Royalty Trusts ERF and PVX....looking to reenter PGH, too.....11-18% annual distributions make the sitting easier. Hard to find much that has outpaced them this year in the energy group especially when you add on the payouts to the capital appreciation.
