Econ 101 would suggest that in a market that is facing a glut that suppliers have no pricing power.

You obviously didn't read the article then, or you just missed the point entirely. Or maybe you took Econ 101, but flunked it. The whole point of mothballing generating plants is to remove capacity, specifically inefficient and unprofitable capacity. Reduced capacity, reduced supply, higher prices, higher margins for the remaining players.

Bottom line: AEP shutting down plants is good for MIR.
