We gave Iraq the green light, we armed them heavily (including missile technology and chemical/biological weapons precursors after he had used those devices), and we provided intelligence to help him target Iranians with poison gas. Once, again, we come back to your Indonesia argument, what could we POSSIBLY have done to stop him?!?!?!

You did not address the fact that America has started much larger wars, perhaps because it is so obvious.

Neither you nor I know for certain that Saddam's WMd program is less powerful or more powerful than before the Gulf War.

Correct. But the experts agree that his program is either out of commission or very slight. The only thing we do know is that America has a massive bio/chem/ muclear weapons program, and that America has used it extensively.

I'll give you credit that at least you agree on all the major points that we aren't justified in attacking Iraq. Your disagreement hinges on the notion that Iraq's neighbors secretly fear him. Even though his military is considerably weakened and despite the fact that he no longer has US backing, and even though these same countries were not scared into silence when he was strong and had US backing. It isn't hard to make a case against an ugly dictator like Saddam, but you have managed to flub even that simple exercise.
