THIS IS SO COOL! Have any of you played around with the new Advanced Scan function on StockCharts? I just did, and I came up with a scan that will search the entire StockCharts database for DEATH BLOWS!

NO CHIT!

Here is the syntax for a StockCharts.com search which will find all US stocks with volumes over 40k per day, a last close above $4.99, and either a fast, (10,10), slow, (5,5), or full, (14,3,3), stochastic which went from below 40 two days ago, rose to between 45 and 52 yesterday, and dropped below 40 today.

[[type = stock] and [country = us] and [daily sma(20,daily volume) > 40000] and [Low > 4.99]] and [[[2 days ago Fast Stoch %K(10,10) < 40.0] and [[1 days ago Fast Stoch %K(10,10) > 45.0] and [1 days ago Fast Stoch %K(10,10) < 52.0]] and [today Fast Stoch %K(10,10) < 40.0]] or [[2 days ago Slow Stoch %K(5,5) < 40.0] and [[1 days ago Slow Stoch %K(5,5) > 45.0] and [1 days ago Slow Stoch %K(5,5) < 52.0]] and [today Slow Stoch %K(5,5) < 40.0]] or [[2 days ago Full Stoch %K(14,3,3) < 40.0] and [[2 days ago Full Stoch %K(14,3,3) > 45.0] and [2 days ago Full Stoch %K(14,3,3) < 52.0]] and [today Full Stoch %K(14,3,3) <40.0]]]

Is that cool, or what?

EDIT: I almost forgot -- you can download the results in Microsoft CSV format, which, when you click on the file, opens it as an Excel spreadsheet document. (Which explains the following.)
