milo, the best the Tbred can do is stabilize ASPs not raise them especially in the face of further relases by Intel. If Hammer is release in Q2 then it won't bring in significant revenues until Q4. Who know where Intel will be by Q2-Q4 next year with regards to CPU speeds. Also, AMD could be facing bankruptcy by then.

Problem with Hammer Delay is Prescott, potentially. A 3400+ CH in Jan-Feb. is very competitive with Intel's fastest at that time, which would boost the top price for CH into the $400-$500 range, and raise ASP. If we don't see CH in volume until May-June, the bar could be higher. It puts AMD in the position of trying to increase the launch speed again, which could mean another delay. I almost wish they had followed the path of Itanium and released a working beta a year ago to spur code and hardware development.

Same problem with the T-bred-B: A 2600+ chip now might actually sell for close to the list price of $350. A 2600+ in November is a $200 CPU.
