How do you feel about a 1070ish bottom in late Oct, followed by a retest around election day and then up to 1250-1300 in about 4 weeks after that? Then retest in spring, but a higher low? Thats what I get from all your charts. We will see.

I agree with what you say Jeff. I believe that wide spread public discussion of the similarity between the two speculative eras would precede the price variance too. To date I don't believe that we have had this, although correct me if I'm wrong. I also believe that your comments about the final drop are very relevant since from my readings that is what knocked out a lot of players in the thirties although the statistician in me can't ignore the 86% correlation in the MRCI charts that Gene presented. Whatever, as always the game will be interesting.
One last note: spoke to a friend this morning that is manager of a brokerage office and to date this month is worse than September of last year. To me this means the public is out on one off basis so I would expect the volatility to remain high.
