As I remember, and is confirmed by the second post copied, that was an exasperated outburst satirizing a dopey test, rather than a direct attack on Neenny. I agree that it was ill- considered, and that Neenny is a very inappropriate target, being without much thickness of skin and very sweet, but it came off somewhat differently in context, and, in any case, has little bearing on what we were talking about. Also, X has been much more restrained since then, so it is hard to see the use in dredging up posts from so long ago.......

ROFL
Good one Poet.

Are you suggesting Neenny has some condition that I should be sensitive of? Because I never got that impression. Satire of another POST, and ridiculing a picture of an actual child, an actual Child with a disability, are very different things to me. I'm sure they seem like exactly the same thing to you. Why, I cannot say- but clearly you think they are very close to the same thing. I suggest that someone who needs to call another poster a bad mom (on zero information) probably shouldn't be handing out civilization tips. But heck- that is just me. Are YOU ok with mocking children in the Special Olympics? That is the real question- isn't it? It isn't really about me- it is about mocking children, who have disabilities. What about that? Is it ok to have a poster like that? Is it funny? Did you laugh?

Oh dear
I realize I mocked PMS in that post. That was very very wrong of me. I've seen on SI just what that can do, along with MI (menopausal insanity). I feel just terrible about mocking that and apologize to all the PMS'ers for saying anything mocking about PMS. I realize I said what I said a year and a half ago- and I can't remember the thread it was posted on, but mea culpa.

Now, have some tea and crumpets, and let's be velly velly civilized.
