Dale,

DEBKA is a propaganda tool run by ex-Mossad agents. Its purpose is to mix real fact with fantasy in such a fashion that the reader is left in a dangerously misinformed state.

BushCountry appears to be much of the same, regurgitating lies and hoping that with massive repetition of lies that the public will be swayed to believe them. It has worked to an unfortunately large extent.

As Norman Mailer intelligently commented on the technique:
"It's as if somewhere early in life, Bush decided that in talking to most Americans you don't have to reason, just press the right buttons."

Thanks, Dale, that news (or disinformation or rumor) will help me be "sleepless in Seattle" tonight. <ng> That scenario reminds me of a favorite author of mine, Neville Shute, who wrote "On the Beach."
