I heard that the ruins of Babylon and Karbala' are beautiful to wander thru in december....

and the Great Mosque in Samarra' , and its huge spiral minaret , breathtaking ...


I have been to BOTH places and they are wonderful but what I enjoyed more was the ancient city of Nineveh. When I was there, the ruins were much more intact than Babylon and you could walk through the inner palace and imagine you were back in that ancient time.
