feel free to post all sorts of quotes by jewish scholars suggesting that jews are defined by their religion only and not by their race. also tell that to the honchos running immigration policy over there in israel. it appears that race is quite important to them when deciding the terms by which one can become a citizen in israel. furthermore, if the jews are not a distinct race, how can you account for the fact that some people simply look jewish? i could provide dozens of examples if needed, that i'm sure everyone would recognize. i will grant you one point. the bible does say that anyone can become a jew through Christ. but if you follow that standard, all the so-called jews in israel and around the world who don't accept Christ as the Son of God are not jews. i don't think you want to get into that line of reasoning for purposes of our debate.
