COnservation works to conserve energy, but it doesn't serve the purpose of the industrial/military complex. The energy companies thought they were going to have their way with Ca and the rest of the country would follow..........................WRONG. Our conservation efforts stopped the energy crisis in it's tracks. If the gov't had promoted the conservation efforts it would have successfully stopped the crisis but it wouldn't have allowed the energy barons to rip the public off.................the gov't was on the side of the energy barons and didn't give a hoot about the public. CHeny and his energy task force was a farce.............too bad he won't let us all see the documents and know who was at his meetings!!! LOL ( we all know why ).
