The bottom will be in when inflation has had its victory over deflation. This will be at a time when many more competitors have thrown the towel and the remainder gets back some pricing power at lower sales quantities. This will prop stocks because of the value stability of productive equity and because there will be some space for real margins. Exporting industries should profit most as the $ will have declined. Of course, this will first require a significant increase in the jobless and in bankruptcies...
