Yes, W wants to keep the flailing US economy, the high unemployment rate, the scandals in
corporate America and the failure to provide prescriptions benefits to people who need it out
of the news. He doesn't want to remind you that this was the hottest and driest summer on
record since the dust bowl 30s. How is your farm?

I talked to my mom last night. She says everything is dried up: corn, soybeans, even the hay that
was green in the spring has withered.. The global warming issue raises the problem that
in the near future it food prices could raise
substantially along with all the other taxes that we have to pay because of the Federal
Budget deficit that Bush ran up. Every time we turn around we have to pay more in personal
property taxes because the the State doesn't have money. Washington State isn't unique there.
And the city doesn't have money because the recession has cut into its income. The lack of money
has forced cutbacks in the public's use of community centers, public libraries and probably other
programs that I don't know about it.

These cut backs hit those who do not have the money to pay for private membership at
private clubs, or posh government facilities like Camp David where Bush, after making a
speech to the UN, is now at Camp David running circles around his private outdoor running track.
His thoughts are circular, too.

I wonder how long he had to practice his speech he delivered at the UN. I think it is wrong that
Presidents are allowed to rely on ghost writers to write their speeches. Bush should have been
made to write his own speech so the world could see his stumbling thought processes in a
major speech.

CAMP DAVID, Md. (AP) - President Bush said Saturday
that the United Nations should "show some backbone" and
confront Saddam Hussein but that the United States was
willing to do it alone if necessary.

What will happen to us? A war with Iraq, a sagging economy and the impact of global warming
may push our standard of living through the floor! I wonder how soon it will be before we look back at the
90s when we had a big budget surplus and the future looked bright.
