I find Rydex downright unsettling. New all-time bearish records again. Rydex is far more bearish the last number of days than it was at the July low. I reiterate: imo, no time to be heavily short for the small timeframe folks.

John, thanks for the MACD article

Do you have any MACD settings you favor over the default "lazy" <g> settings? Also, do you feel the settings should be adjusted for each individual issue or each time period, just like ma crossovers?

Although I still watch the histogram, for the past few weeks I have been watching trendline breaks of the single line MACD convergence/divergence which has given some good signals, and I've use it on 3-minute, 15-minute and 60 minute charts. It's not my primary indicator, but has been frequently giving accurate signals, even ahead of my fast 5,8 ema crossovers.
