Dear RD: Brian Mulroney yesterday condemned as "false, shocking and morally specious" a statement by Jean Chrétien in which he appeared to say perceived Western greed and arrogance were among the underlying causes of the Sept. 11 attacks.

Thats a bunch of bullshit if ever I heard any. He DESERVES to be attacked for being such an ignoramus. USA was attacked for one reason and one reason only, our support of Israel in the Middle East. Matters not to those fanatics that we also support an independent Palistine. jdn

Thank for the post. I read it and agree. We have gotten past the point of being considered a compassionate nation to being arrogant and greedy. Unfortunately, only Colin Powell in the current administration is willing to walk around the globe and look at all implications, and to walk in other's shoes..... Rumpstead on the other hand.......
