Indeed, and something that should always be brought to people's attention.

True, especially since Israel was working hand-in-glove with the Shah's secret police SAVAK. That's one reason why, although Iran treats its Jews very well, it is extremely paranoid about contacts they have with Israel.

By the way, have you noticed how the war-mongers blithely explain our support for Saddam during his worst atrocities as "we merely wanted to have Iran and Iraq beat each other up". As if to say that inducing Middle Easterners killing each other is acceptable.
