It's interesting because several tech heavyweights are starting to get somewhat near cash value. I've been watching SUNW, it now around 3 bucks with something like 5 billion in the kitty. EMC is another with around 5 billion. If these leaders get a bit lower (SUNW is already pretty much there) I think we will see either a raft of takeovers or perhaps they go private...

Regards,
John

RE:SWtockman Scott:Maybe this rumor is a last gasp attempt by Ted Waitt to off load his remaining 36% GTW position. .Why would anyone want to get into debt to buy companies that have no future?-Certain types are junk dealers-not this guy.

Administration plans to remove from the internet any reports that do not support Bush policies.

Each assistant secretary has formed a group that includes at least one person who "understands the policy and priorities of the administration" to review Web content. An eight- person "content-review board" of administration hires chosen from areas throughout the department will approve the final list.

Mr. Bailey stressed last week that decisions about what to take off the Web site and what to leave on were not yet final.

"The Bush administration should not be constrained from explaining what it believes in," Mr. Ruskin said, but determining access through a political lens "would make George Orwell smile."
