Mankind has been in rebellion against God for millennia. He hasn't lost faith in us.

He is French that goes a good way to explaining his mental deficiencies.
By the way there is a new movie coming out called "SLAP HER SHE'S FRENCH"

At the end of the preview it provides the following disclaimer. No french people were actual hurt during the filming of this movie.
