They are victims of their own entrenched thinking. In some ways, they are too intellectual. They warned the public against buying stocks all the way up. So now what? There is a need to affix blame. Our financial system has been distorted, manipulated and contrived for so long that it's difficult to determine what value to attach to anything any more. Maybe, just maybe, if the powers-that-be would just leave things alone for a while, the markets would find value on their own. In fact, I'm certain they would. But in the meantime, the pundits will always claim to have the answer of how to win the war _ the one that was fought years ago. PB
