We drove through Nashville and it is civilized and likely a very good place to visit. Please someone with Nashville experience let KHOLT know what there is to see there.

Roswell can be described as one or two streets in the middle of flat desert and some houses. A very homegrown museum for people who believe we have been visited by aliens is the attraction. I have heard that there is a large round hole that goes to the center of the earth located outside of Roswell. When people look over the edge, it sucks them into it. I didn't see that hole, good thing!

I recommend Nashville but pass on Roswell unless they can import some real aliens that are alive and kicking.

Nashville has an impressive skyline. Nice from a distance, anyway. I've only seen it from the outer loop because I've always avoided going through the heart of the city. They say its a rapidly growing city and very modern, but I've never been interested in checking it out.

Memphis might be worthwhile, though. America's REAL music capitol....

The stuff in Roswell is worth seeing if you're passing through town anyway. Some classic American kitsch there. But its not worth going out of your way. Walking the streets there, I recall there was a distinct odor of sewer in the air. It's kind of a seedy town.
