Ork, I'm not sure what you're doing wrong. I tried changing things in a few ways, but got the same results as you. In any event, I have improved the basic scan so that it better fits the definition of Death Blow as provided to me by ajtj99. Just change the word "fast" to "slow" in the following, and you'll get what you want.
