Here was Hans' initial article on AMD's SOI process. chip-architect.com They didn't really talk about process and the Hammer before that. Now I personally feel that that there were plans for a non-SOI Hammer with an EV-6 bus before then, but AMD didn't make any public disclosure of it. 2000 was the earliest that they said anything publicly...
