In which case, the proper answer would be : 'heres proof he's dead'. NOT "there is no doubt" - that comment introduces an element of doubt.

Infantry soliders learn to discern small arms fire, and some indirect (mortar vs. artillery), but incoming missiles?

Highly doubtful, IMO and experience.
