Hi Nadine Carroll; Re: "The enemies shooting at them were guerillas fighting for colonialists out of Vietnam and/or communist domination of Vietnam, take your pick ..."

The enemies shooting at us in Iraq will be guerillas fighting for colonialists out of the Middle East and/or Moslem freedom or what have you, take your pick. Like I've said before, a certain percentage of the population (of any country) just likes to fight. They don't need a hell of a good reason to do it.

Re: "... and who not incidentally were supplied by a superpower, which all in all made our force less than overwhelming. Say, do you think China will build a guerilla army in Iraq?"

Iraq is already awash in small arms, they don't need a supplier. But following your logic, I naturally have to note that the Israelis have been unable to suppress the Palestinians (and lost another tank to a mine a few weeks ago), so do try to answer this one: Who is the superpower that is supplying the Palestinians?
