"There's no smoke without fire" was all that Chretien said in effect. So why make a big deal out of it? Sept. 11 was the culmination of many Christian-Moslem confrontations over the centuries. It is most unfortunate that the schools of today don't bother to teach history and so many folks are ignorant of why things happened as they did. All they know is to be jingoistic. Such folks are ignorant and superficial individuals. The action and reaction of historical events transcend centuries! Just the very opposite of instantaneous action and reaction of Newtonian physics. Maybe you will now like to go back in a time machine and zap all those for saying what amounts to the Golden Rule. <grin> fragrant.demon.co.uk Don't be presumptuous! You are not in a position to speak for other Canadians. And don't you forget that the Liberal Party is still in power which means there are lots (NOT JUST A FEW!!!!) Canadians who support or agree with Chretien. To be sure, there are lots of folks who keep reminding one of the saying: There are none so blind as those who have eyes but would not see. Some wise guys said that America has been helping other countries and therefore the latter should be showing gratitude instead of attacking it. True! However, the good deeds and generosity of America will likely redound to America's credit and benefit in years to come!!!!! in ways that could only be imagined now. What gets me, Lorne is how they'd be leading the charge if the 9/11 tragedy occured in Montreal/Toronto or Quebec City. 'Mericans <---got that from Pres Bush(grin) used to tacitly believe our 2 oceans protected us from murderous marauders.. And the unfeeling, idiotic canuck utterances would seem to underscore their belief that the invisible 49th parallel will protect them. *Are THEY* in for a rude shock or what?!!!!** grrrrr! g_t

So far these idiots are still a minority but growing as more and more the unfeeling idiots get their way and use free speech to promote their stupidity.
