Read it, he admits taking the money and producing a propaganda film...

When I was a schoolgirl, I recall studying paraphrasing extensively in English class. I wonder if they still teach that.

"Admits." To admit is to acknowledge doing something wrong. He was quite clear that he thought he was doing the right thing. Whether or not he was is another matter.

"Taking the money." Taking money means either stealing or profiting. He was quite clear that he didn't profit. And I don't think anyone has accused him of stealing.

"Propaganda." Propaganda is information used to further a cause. It has a negative connotation. It implies disinformation. He claims his cause is truth. Maybe it is and maybe it isn't. I don't know how we can know at this point.

All three of those expressions are either inaccurate or they are unwarranted dysphemisms.

It would be fair to say that "he acknowledges producing a film, which cost $458K, most/all or which was funded by an American alleged to have ties with Saddam."

It would be fair to say that "he has been accused (or I suspect him) of taking the money and producing a propaganda film."

What you said is not what happened in that interview. You read it.

Look, the guy could be a certifiable traitor for all I know. Or this could be part of a campaign of spying on Iraq for us. Or anything in between. You are way ahead of yourself asserting what you asserted.
