Seriously.... If you want to play golf infrequently and enjoy it. You need to develop a swing that is basically punching the ball. Don't use your legs, except as a stand for your upper body. Just swing with your shoulders and arms. It actually works pretty good. 200-250 yard drives sound good? Good accuracy on your irons sound good? Should be able to do all that simply punching the ball. Should be able to outscore most hackers out there.

Also most people are trying to combine different swings in the same one. The biggest fault out there! If you want a good pro to help you with this. Go to the head Pro at Torrey Pines. He is great at spotting that. He doesn't like to create swings for people. Just point out problems.

I know three different swings. The full body swing is art in motion. Simply beautiful when you learn how to do it. It is definitely a high maintenance swing. So enjoyable when you're on it, that it's almost better than sex.

Please don't take my thoughts in a condescending way. I started playing golf at nine years old. I've hit more bad shots than most people have hit period. If I do start again, I have to play the best I can. I lost any enjoyment in less than below par golf a long time ago.
